pop sermon art direction

Following Dope Caesar's meteoric rise from viral DJ transitions to releasing her debut single, "Pop Sermon" needed cover artwork that reflected both her creative disruption and the song's thematic weight.

The track explores themes of manifestation and speaking abundance into existence. The visual needed to honor this message while establishing Dope Caesar's identity as an artist who bridges cultures and eras.

The artwork draws direct inspiration from the iconic Pulp Fiction poster—a film that itself sampled from blaxploitation cinema and crime noir—the cover completes a circle of cultural exchange.

Released in October 2023 as Dope Caesar's debut single, "Pop Sermon" marked her transition from behind the decks to center stage. The cover artwork served as a visual anchor for this evolution—familiar enough to cinema lovers.
